We’re now seeing the fruits of the SMART-Sun merger as the Pangilinan-owned network carrier has just rolled out their newest prepaid offer – Trio 20.

For Php20, prepaid subscribers of SMART, Sun and Talk ‘N Text can enjoy 200 free texts messages and 15 minutes of calls to the all three network sans any cross-network charges. This comes hot off the heels of another SMART-Sun lovechild, the SMART Sun Dual Plan 549, which they began offering last month.

So, how do you avail of this triple treat?

Easy. Just text Trio20 to 2477, and you’re good to go. The 200 text messages and 15 minutes worth of calls you’ll be getting is valid for an entire day.

It’s a neat offer, but in this day and age, it’s all about mobile data. Don’t’ believe me? Just look back at last Christmas, how many text messages or calls did you receive? I rest my case.

So what I’m really more interested to find out is if whether or not SMART will be able to serve up data plans and/or promos that can take advantage of the services of all three networks. Now that, in my opinion, would be a major game changer and something more worth looking forward to.
