Sony Ericsson is proud to announce they’re now ready to bust out the Android 2.3.4 update for their Xperia line. It’ll being rolling out this October.
We already talked about this Android update in the past. Google Talk video calling is its bannering feature, but there’s actually more to Android 2.3.4 that Xperia users can look forward to than just this video chat feature. Here’s a rundown of what else this anticipated updated has to offer:

In related news, Sony Ericsson also took the opportunity to introduce the Xperia Neo V. This is basically the Xperia Neo souped up with the latest Android firmware, 2.3.4, but sporting a lower res 5-megapixel camera, hence the V in its name.
Not quite sure why they’d come out with a slightly dumbed-down version of the Neo, but as GSMArena points out, this could be to address the Xperia Neo shortage in the market. I honestly have yet to see one in local stores.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V is slated to ship out in Q4 with its pricing still yet to be known. With a less power camera in tow, this Xperia could actually debut with a retail price below the Php20K mark given the 8-MP cam-equipped Neo was launched with an SRP of Php22,750.00. It’s possible, but this still isn’t guaranteed. Anyway, we’ll see.
