Heads up, Xperia Arc owners! Sony Ericsson has begun rolling out a new update for you guys. Well, not literally for you guys, but for your beloved Android handset.
This one’s a pretty minor one, so the platform version will still be Android 2.3.3 (provided, of course, you’ve upgraded to this already). It will, however, add certain features to your Xperia Arc, including DLNA support, stereo recording and landscape support, and new themes for you to enjoy.
Do note, though, that software update availability is market dependent so it might not yet be available locally.
To check if it’s ready for download already, just click on Settings on your Xperia Arc, tap on About, then hit the Software Update button. Alternately, you can nab this update using the Sony Ericsson PC Companion (Windows only).
If your Xperia Arc’s telling you there’s none available, just treat this as a heads up that there’s one coming, and simply check again at a later date.
