Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S unveiled: 1.4Ghz-powered Android 2.3.4 Xperia Arc twin
If you’re a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc fan, you might want to postpone your Android purchase as Sony Ericsson has just unveiled its the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, which they’re planning to release before the year comes to a close.
It’s got all the goodness of the Xperia Arc, but ups the ante with a faster 1.4GHz Scorpion single-core processor and a newer Android version, Android 2.3.4, preinstalled as its OS. The rest of the specs though is pretty much identical with that of the Xperia Arc, from the sexy vital stats to the signature BRAVIA imaging engine.
While I personally would have wanted its internal memory bumped up to 8GB instead of just being bundled with a microSD card of the same memory size, the upgraded CPU is nonetheless a welcome change, especially if it’ll debut with the same, if not lower, retail price as its namesake Android phone.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S is scheduled to roll out in the final quarter of this year and, apart from white, will be available in a variety of other colors, including blue, silver, black, and pink.
