Sony’s bid to make a dent in the mainstream tablet market just hit another snag: They’ve halted sales of their updated Tablet S.
Why?
Well, apparently, its water resistant display isn’t as water-resistant as they hoped it would be. There are reportedly gaps in the Xperia Tablet S’ display, allowing water to seep in and damage it.
As such, Sony has decided to indefinitely suspend sales of the Xperia Tablet S where it’s available, and has recalled all the units that have been sold in order to address the problem.
Given that the Xperia Tablet S hasn’t officially landed in local stores yet, I doubt many, if any, will be troubled by this bit of news. But if you do have one, you’re screwed! Well, not really. Just try to avoid water as much as possible, so you don’t end up regretting your impulse buy.
