Sony Mobile Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update: Who’s getting it, When they’ll get it and Who won’t get it

Just as promised, Sony Mobile has just revealed more details on the upcoming Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Xperia phones.

First, here’s the good news – we now have roll-out dates to look forward to! First in line are the Xperia T, Xperia TX and the Xperia V. These’ll get Jelly bean beginning in February and March. The Xperia P, Xperia J and Xperia go will then follow suite at the end of March, while the Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and the Xperia acro S will get theirs in the weeks to follow.

Now, the bad news – as you probably noticed by now, the Xperia U, Xperia miro, Xperia tipo and Xperia sola are MIA from the list. Sony Mobile confirms that these Xperia ‘droids won’t be upgraded beyond Ice Cream Sandwich even if some (read: Xperia sola, Xperia U) are almost identical or slightly even better in term of specs to those (read: Xperia go) who will be getting the much coveted Jelly Bean upgrade.

So, what say you Xperia users? How many of you are rejoicing over this bit of news?

For the full announcement and to view that many – and I seriously mean many – comments from disgruntled Xperia users, simply head on over here.
