Aside from the Xperia ion and neo L, here’s another Sony Mobile Android phone that’ll soon be available locally – the Sony Xperia acro S.
Just to recap, the Xperia acro S is one half of Sony Mobile’s rugged duo (the other one is the aptly named Xperia go).  This is pretty much the outdoorsy near-twin of the Xperia ion. Just like the ion, this comes packed with a 12.1-megapixel cam and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor under the hood.
It’s a tad bit smaller, though, compared to its doppelganger Xperia sibling. This one comes with a 4.3-inch display (vs the 4.5-inch display on the Xperia ion). Also, the acro S rocks Ice Cream Sandwich right from the get go (vs Gingerbread on the ion).
With that out of the way, let’s move on to the most important part of this news bit – when is it arriving in the Philippines.
The answer – August.
This was the candid reply of Sony Mobile Ph’s reply to an inquiry over on their Facebook page.
Pricing, though, still remains a mystery, but given its specs, it’ll prolly be somewhere in the Ph20-25K price range.
But since nothing’s final yet, how about we throw Sony Mobile some suggestions their way – how much are you willing to pay for the Xperia acro S?
Chime in your suggestions below, and who knows, if you’re lucky, some of the peeps over at Sony Mobile Philippines might just read this post and take you up on your offer.
