Sony Xperia miro, Xperia tipo join the Ice Cream Sandwich Android party

Two weeks after Sony Mobile unveiled the Xperi acro S and Xperia go, they’re back with some more new treats for Android lovers. Meet the Sony Xperia miro and Xperia tipo.

Like the acro S, both these new Xperia phones will come preinstalled with Ice Cream Sandwich. But that’s where the similarities end.

The Xperia miro sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen, with a 5-megapixel main cam at the back, a secondary cam on the front, DLNA connectivity, xLoud tech, and its claim to fame, deep Facebook integration.

The Xperia tipo, meanwhile, comes with a smaller 3.2-inch display, a more modest 3.2-megapixel cam, but get this, will also be available in a dual SIM variant. The dual SIM Xperia tipo, however, isn’t dual standby. It comes with a toggle button on the side that’ll allow you to switch from one SIM to another.

Interesting, but yeah, these two really have nothing to rave about.

Still no word on pricing for either of the two, but the Xperia tipo is scheduled to ship out in Q3. As for the Xperia miro, we’re still clueless when this one will be released.
