Here’s an update on the soon-to-be-locally-released Sony Xperia S.
Sony Mobile proudly announced they’ve begun shipping their flagship droid globally, confirming what we’ve been hearing and our guesstimate that the Sony Xperia S will be released sometime in April in the Philippines.
When specifically, we still don’t know, but based on the latest buzz on the grapevine and clues shared by Sony Mobile Philippines, it should hit the gadget-crazed Philippine market around mid-April.
Just to remind you guys what this Android phone has to offer, the Xperia S is another Reality Display-souped up Bravia-powered smartphone, packed with a 12-megapixel cam, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM running under the hood, with Gingerbread as its OS.
And if you still haven’t heard, SRP of the Sony Xperia S is Php27,990.
Reasonable for some, though a tad bit too pricey in my opinion.
More on this hopefully once we’ve got an official date to look forward to.

Im thinking if this one will be a good replacement ti my htc sensation, and if ever ill buy this only after ics update, is it worth the upgrade? Any advice pls.
@azeroth: It’s a very good replacement for the HTC Sensation. As for waiting for the ICS upgrade to roll out before buying one, it sure wouldn’t hurt if you do that. Or, if you’ve got the patience, you can also just opt to wait for the the fresh batch of Xperia S smartphones that already come preinstalled with ICS to hit the market (whenever that’ll be)
