Mark you calendars, boys and girls! We’ve now got a date to look forward as to when Sony’s first batch of Xperia handsets will arrive in the Philippines, and better, pricing included.
Well, sort of.
SRP of the flagship 12-megapixel-equipped Sony Xperia S is Php27,990 and will be arriving real soon.
No word yet though on the SRP of the Sony Xperia P, but it’s confirmed next in line and will be hitting stores in May.
After that, in mid-May, to be exact, it’s the Sony Xperia U’s turn to go public. It’ll retail with a suggested retail price of – wait for it – Php13,990. Not bad, eh? This, in my book, is a real steal at that price.
As for the more recently announced floating touch-souped up Xperia sola, we’re keeping our eye peeled on that one.
So yeah, it’s actually a hit and miss affair.
But given what Sony Mobile Philippines has disclosed, we can more or less fill in the blanks. We’re guessing the Xperia P will be priced around the Php20K mark, and as far as the Xperia S goes, being first in line, it’ll prolly be dropping sometime in April.
Anyway, I’m sure we’ll know soon enough which is which.
