Turning popular comic books into video games isn’t anything new, but it seems that more and more companies are turning video game properties into comics. Three upcoming high profile video games will be getting the comic book treatment care of IDW and Dark Horse.
Id’s mutant-filled world of Rage will be getting a three part prequel which will be released sometime in June. Big names have been attached to the project like Hellblazer artist Glenn Fabry who have been tapped to do the cover of the Rage mini-series. Another comic that’s going to be available come June is the six part mini series based on the upcoming shooter Crysis 2. IDW Publishing has been commissioned to do the Crysis 2 comic book which in-turn has assigned writer Richard K. Morgan to be the main scribe for it (Morgan also penned the story of the Crysis 2 video game)
Last on the list is Dungeon Siege 3 which will be coming out with an digital online comic which will be published by Dark Horse. The printed version of the Dungeon Siege 3 comic will not be for sale, but instead be bundled with the limited edition package of the game once it has been made available.

I admit I suck at computer gaming but I do love the mythos behing those games and giving those stories life in the form of comicbooks is a godsend for people like me who suck at playing them
