Let’s rock those Monday blues away with a video starring the undisputed king of tablets, the Apple iPad, and the new kid on the block, the Nexus 7.
Just a warning for those who’ve got a soft spot for all things shiny and techie, this isn’t just some fancy walkthrough vid pitting the two against each other. This is a grueling drop test to prove which of the two is the tougher cookie.
Who wins?
The Nexus 7! Not only was its touchscreen unscathed in the concrete drop tests, it also managed to surface fully functional from the water drop test too.
Impressive, yes, but is this enough to make it a serious contender to dethrone the iPad?
Nah! I doubt it. Despite the Nexus 7 being more affordable and tougher, I’m pretty most people will still go for the iPad.
Ask me again after 2 or 3 years, then maybe – maybe – I might just have a different answer by then, depending on how well the Nexus 7 does in its maiden year.
