There was one important tidbit we forgot to add in the Galaxy Note 2 render post – the source also revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update will be released on August 29, during the launch of the new Note.

And this video showcasing the Galaxy S III running on Android 4.1 serves to confirm that Jelly Bean for Sammy’s current flagship ‘droid is indeed ready for primetime:

Actually, it’s Android 4.1.1 to be exact, and unless you understand Mexican, feel free to mute the video ‘casue the guy here hardly utters a word in English.

It’s a fairly lengthy video. So for those who don’t have the time to watch the entire 10 minute clip, we’ll spill the beans for you – you’re not missing much!

As expected, you can hardly tell the diff between Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean on the Galaxy S III from the UI standpoint.

But hey, whatever it lacks in aesthetics, I’m sure a healthy dose Project Butter can more than make up for it.
