The title pretty much says it all. WhatsApp is finally available for Windows Phone users to enjoy.
For those of you not familiar with WhatsApp, this is one of the more popular instant messaging apps out now. Aside from messages, you can also send audio notes, pictures, and video as well via WhatsApp. But what really sets WhatsApp apart from the rest of the IM pack is that you don’t need to register for a username to use this one. It uses your phone number as your ID to login so you don’t have to go through the whole cumbersome registration process here.
And the best part? It’s readily available on the top mobile platforms of today, namely Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Symbian, and S40. So OS shouldn’t be a hindrance if you want to use WhatsApp to keep in touch with most, or better yet, all of your friends.
Itching to try this out on your fresh out-of-the-box Lumia?
Then head on over here to get your free WhatsApp app for your Windows Phone today.
UPDATE: WhatsApp was released on Windows Phone before, but as Redmondpie reports, it got yanked and it was only recently that it made it back to the Windows Phone Marketplace.

WhatsApp was briefly unavailable at the Windows Phone marketplace due to a security issue but it has been out for Windows Phone since September last year.
