From the guys that made Android tablet convertin’ pseudo laptops fashionable, we now have the Asus Vivotab Smart, another tablet convertin’ pseudo laptop, but this time around, runs on Windows 8.
This 10.1-incher sports a 1366×768 resolution touchscreen, an 8-megapixel main cam (with flash) ‘round the back, a 2-megapixel cam on the front, 64GB onboard storage complemented by 32GB Asus WebStorage good for 3 years, a 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2760 processor manning the show, 2GB of RAM as its wingman, with – as I’ve already said earlier – Windows 8 as its OS.
The Asus Vivotab Smart isn’t available locally yet though. It will be soon, sometime this quarter, giving you enough time to save up for this bad boy.
As to how much you need to save up, here it is- SRP of the Asus Vivotab Smart is Php25,995.
Not bad, but here’s the catch – that price is for the tablet only. If you want to enjoy it as a laptop, you’ll have to buy the optional Transleeve, which acts as a protective cover, stand and doubles a keyboard too. No word on how much this add-on accessory will cost, but given what it has to offer, I’m sure it won’t be cheap.
So, how about it guys? Any of you keen on getting this Windows 8 treat once it hits stores? Or is Android still the apple of your eye?
