Windows Phone Marketplace now Open in the Philippines

After a seemingly endless wait, the Windows Phone Marketplace is now finally open in the Philippines.

Aside from our beloved country, Windows Phone Marketplace also opened its doors to Argentina, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Peru.

With Windows Phone Marketplace now open for business locally and Nokia Philippines all set to roll out their Windows Phone offering – the Nokia Lumia 800 – soon, this could mark a new era for Windows Phone in the country.

The (app) numbers aren’t there yet though. But if Windows Phone sales figures continue to improve, I’m sure more devs will be enticed to offer up their wares in the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Or is it the other way around?

Check out the full announcement here.
